Company History

East Iowa Decks was founded by Jim Naso in 1965, in Van Horne, Iowa to service the metal deck and metal siding erection industry in eastern Iowa. However, while the geographic base of the company remained in eastern Iowa, Jim’s vision was of a company prepared to travel nation wide, while providing the best possible service to his clients.

Throughout the next twenty seven years that vision was realized, as EIDS completed projects across the country, ranging in size from simple retail shops to complex fast track manufacturing plants with areas in excess of 2,000,000 square feet.

In 1992, with the purchase of the company by Dominic Naso, the company headquarters were moved to greater Chicago area, both to better serve EIDS’s existing clients in that area and to take advantage of the growing market in the Chicago area.

Under the management skills of Dominic Naso, another period of sustained growth ensued, and in 1999 another son, Greg Naso joined the firm. With a background in structural steel project sales, Greg added another dimension to a successful business.

With four decades of experience in the metal deck and siding industry, and with a highly trained work force, EIDS continues to aggressively pursue work in both the metal deck and siding fields, while maintaining their leadership position in the metal deck industry.
